Ann Weithers Named “‘Best’ of Friends”

The Western Springs Library Friends unanimously decided that their President, Ann Weithers, should be named the 2017 “‘Best’ of Friends.” The announcement was made at the Friends meeting on May 10.

Everyone agreed that her leadership of the Friends and devotion to supporting the Library is exemplary, and that she embodies what it means to be a Friend by always being the first to volunteer, pitch in, and generate great ideas. She is a strong supporter of Library staff and programming, and does her best to ensure that each department gets the money they need to offer quality programs to the Western Springs community.

Ann reflected the praise back to the Friends, saying that it’s an extraordinary group of wonderful, hard-working people committed to the Library.
