Home Delivery Services

If you are unable to come to the Library due to illness or injury, we will deliver library materials to you. This service is available to Western Springs residents with a valid Thomas Ford Library Memorial Library card.

To request the Library’s delivery services, you can call us at 708-246-0520, email us at info@fordlibrary.org, or use the form below. We will contact you to discuss the types of materials that interest you. Books (fiction, nonfiction, large print, magazines, audio), CDs, and DVDs are all available for home delivery. Days and times for delivery that best suit your schedule will be arranged.

All Illinois residents have access to the Illinois Talking Book Center. They will deliver recorded books, materials in Braille, and descriptive videos for those with visual, physical or reading disabilities. For more information, contact them at 1-800-426-0709 or visit them online at illinoistalkingbooks.org.

Thomas Ford cardholders can also download materials from home through our digital services. The Library offers eBooks (with font sizes can be increased for those with visual disabilities) and downloadable audiobooks through Media on Demand and eRead Illinois, as well as digital magazines through Media on Demand. For more information on how to download materials, see our Download & Stream page.

Please fill out the form below and one of our librarians will contact you about your delivery request as soon as possible.
