In the early months of 2020, COVID-19 cases accelerated in the United States as primary elections were being held across the country. In response, states have adjusted their election systems to adapt to this new public health crisis, including Illinois. In this presentation, Tyler St. Clair from Common Cause Illinois will discuss the impact that COVID-19 had on the primary election here in Illinois, the policy changes enacted to protect the general election in November, and how it impacts voters across the state.
