Library Book Clubs
Copies of the books are available at the Circulation Desk one month before the discussion. No registration is required to join a book club.
The Book Discussion Group
Our original book club has been meeting since 1998. Open to anyone who enjoys reading and discussing books. The group meets on first Wednesdays eight times a year.
Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Club
Our Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Club has been meeting quarterly since 2014. We choose titles that explore the diversity and range of the genre. Open to anyone interested in reading Science Fiction and Fantasy, whether they are long time fans or new to the genre.
Community Book Clubs
In addition to our in-house book clubs, the library can also help you acquire books for your own discussions. We will place holds for as many copies as you need, make them available to your club a month before the discussion, and we can schedule the titles months in advance. At least one member of your book club must be a Thomas Ford card holder.
To get started with your book club, contact Sandy Frank via email at frank@fordlibrary.org or by phone at (708) 246-0250 ext. 214
