What I do at the library: I answer questions at the Reference Desk and collect Science Fiction, History, Travel, Biography, and Music.

What I like to do outside the library: I play guitar poorly and bass a bit less poorly. I collect classic Chicago blues records when I can afford to, and I collect cheap, cheesy ’80s records when I feel frugal. I also have a shameless love of heavy metal, horror movies, and professional wrestling.

I like books that challenge me, scare me, or just make me look at the world in a new way. I also love it when books build strong settings, atmospheres, or whole worlds.

One of my favorite authors is Arthur Conan Doyle.
